Seals are good and cute :D. Both in their nature and their cute chubby fins, these rather rare critters are quite the cute little babies. They have big fins, big eyes, and can eat big pies! (but they should not eat big pies, sadly :[ )
Whatever the case is, seals are rather appreciated, both off, and on, the web of internet connections, being one of the most silliest and huggable animals to make memes out of!
I mean like look at him! he's cute, he's relaxing like a little seal, and I mean, be honest with yourself, you would pet him. Right?
RIGHT?
BUUUUT, i got bad news. The sad truth is that some seal breeds are in danger and are potentially vulnerable to extinction!
Not so cool beans :C. At Least Organizations are trying to save them, So that is some good news to bring light to the tunnel.
Fact 1: Most people like to refer to seals as water dogs/cats or as the aquatic couch potato.

Fact 2: It is illegal to touch seals in the USA, unless the seal touches you.
And no, you cannot slap the seals. (Who would want to slap them anyways? : C )
Fact 3: Did you know that there is a CGI animated Korean Web show available on Netflix called ¨sealook¨ that involves seals on their silly Adventures.
It doesn't need translations because most of it is just seal barking and you can get the point/plot by just looking or hearing the sounds, they don't actually say any words.

Fact 4: Did you know that pups are typically born in the spring and summer months, with females bearing almost all the responsibility for raising them.
Now that's a lot of responsibility!
Fact 5: Seals are actually carnivores and although most people associate seals with eating fish, they can also eat seabirds and a variety of warm-blooded animals.
Oh, and cephalopods,
Fact 6: Sometimes sharks like to EAT people whenever they're swimming in the waters, because of the way that humans swim underwater.
Which looks similarly alike to a seal, and considering the fact that sharks honestly kind of need some glasses, they might mistake the human for a yummy seal snack.

Fact 8: Did you know there is a CGI animated movie on Netflix called Seal team (not to be confused with seal team 6) where seals are trying to protect themselves from sharks, and try to defeat them so then they can have a home where they can chillax and accidentally mess up the food cycle.

IMO: it's honestly not the worst thing you can watch. But at times, it can feel like your typical stereotype of what a kids movie is.
Seals are one of the best creatures to make plushie merchandise out of, and they look like one of the cutest living pieces of matter you can cuddle, So obviously people would make merchandise and profitable stuff out of that.
If there are a million people who want to go to Japan, there are a million people who want to hug a seal plushie.
Oh yeah, speaking of which, inside of Japan there is a water museum/aquarium that actually has ringed seals and one of the most infamous plushies of a seal came to be from that aquarium. In fact I can show you right now below!
Anyways, a lot of Amazon re-makes have appeared ever since that Fiasco existed and they still are here to that day so you can buy yourself a seal plushie right now!
Trust me you should get one, they are really comfy, however I have had experience for them kind of deflating if you use them like a pillow for long. I think it might be the cotton grouping together or something, I don't know how plushies are made that well.
Obviously with seals holding such popularity, of course they're going to get implemented in culture and one of the ways that seals obviously get put into our world is the carnival seal.
You know, the seal balancing a ball? Not only that, but seals were popular enough in old times to have their own god, Proteus. But nowadays in the modern era, Seals are seen as more kind and playful creatures due to their nature inside of captivity, which explains why you might see them inside of aquariums, as their playful nature and laid back attitude makes them pretty fun to watch.
In fact, people of the internet kind utilirizing editing software can in fact try and make intense edits in order to show off and really exaggerate how awesome seals are!
Over the course of this big web article, We have mostly been talking about seals in relation to humans the past two pages. I might as well flip the script and talk about seals when they're not actively enjoyed by the human race.
Seals often live inside of more frosty areas such as Antarctica to name one, as their bodies were designed to withstand the cold, cuz they got blubber. If the images haven't told words, seals are obviously water animals, and their shape makes it way easier for them to swim in waters.
In fact, between walking speed on land, and swimming speed inside of the water, The difference is kind of like a turtle, except a bit faster whenever they are galumphing. Seals are typically great snacks for polar bears and sharks, as they supply a good amount of nutrients to the predator animal.
As much as I would want to protect the seals from getting eaten, this is how the food cycle naturally goes, and we shouldn't try to disrupt it or stuff will happen inside of nature. Speaking of food cycle, Seals are not the lowest thing on the food cycle and in fact, will have some meals to eat, including fish some type of birds and mainly fish because they're aquatic.
Seals typically sleep in an interesting way, where they usually try and haul out over to a rock in order to make sure that they don't get dragged into the ocean, then they take a nappy and have some sweet dreams.
They can use their blubber like a big blanket in order to keep themself warm in the typically cold habitats they embody. Then they will have a good night's sleep away from the sharks and on the rocks.

This may be a bit weird, but there are actually due two different kind of seals! Eared seals and "true" seals. Eared seals, similar to the seal up above, are basically seals with ear flaps.
True seals do have ears but they aren't visible or do not have flaps for them. Instead, they have a little hole inside of their head that basically receives all of the noise and that's it, no flap, no nothing, just a hole inside of their head to hear stuff.
However most forms of media, mediums, or other varieties of stuff typically confuse eared seals/sea lions for being regular/true seals.
It is quite a handy skill in the seal economy to be able to differentiate the two, and there are a lot of differences that the two have.
In fact there are enough differences that I can find an image from the Internet and display it right now below!
The differences are noticeable inside of this drawing, with a bit of small humor included in between for the sake of entertainment for the modern seal explorers! This is sure to help anybody venturing out into the big world of exploring seals and is ensuring to help the media and people not confuse seals with seals!
